Eighteen years after Jennifer Garner’s breakout role on J.J. Abrams hit TV series Alias, the duo has announced they will join forces once more to bring Amy Silverstein’s memoir to life in a limited straight-to-series limited series optioned by Apple.

My Glory Was I Had Such Friends follows Silverstein and the nine incredible women who supported her while she waited for her second life-saving heart transplant. Empowered by the kind of empathy that can only grow with age, these women, each knowing Amy from different stages of her life, banded together to provide her with something that medicine alone could not.
We’re so excited to see this amazing story brought to life by Garner and Abrams and that even more of the world will get to share in this powerful reminder of the ultimate importance of “showing up” for those we love.
