What’s important/interesting for potential clients to know about you and what you’re looking for?
I love works that challenge our traditional understanding of form and use form to enhance our understanding of narrative. I seek to learn something new in everything I read, whether that be a new perspective or a new subject matter. I have a deep love for narrative nonfiction of all kinds, and a special place in my heart for narratives centering on fashion, interior/ furniture design, and architecture. I will always be interested to read diverse voices, styles, and representation in its many forms, as well as works in translation.
In fiction, I look for characters who help me see a new side to an old story and who are complex enough they continue to live off the page, as well as stories that are equally as driven by plot as they are emotion. I easily fall into anything with elements of magical realism and strong characterization, strong themes of female friendship and motherhood, or plays with myths and fairy tales in a new way.
